Winridge Manor | Madison Heights | Engagement Photos | Hadley & Francis

I recently had the chance to photograph an engagement session at Winridge Manor with Hadley and Francis. Let me tell you, it was absolutely gorgeous!  I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding here not long ago. The venue is such a beautiful place because of its gorgeous gardens and stunning architecture. It is the perfect backdrop for engagement and wedding photos!

From the very first shot, you could immediately feel the love and excitement between Hadley and Francis. It made every moment so easy and fun to capture. As we walked around the grounds of Winridge Manor, they fully embraced the beautiful scenery around them. We wandered through the lush gardens. Of course we had to take some photos by the grand columns on the venue's front porch. Each location we visited seemed to add something special to their photos, bringing out even more of their connection.

Hadley’s dresses were perfect for the setting. They complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings. One of my favorite moments was when we found a spot by the greenery. Hadley and Francis shared a sweet kiss while the sunlight peeked through the trees behind them. It’s moments like these I love to capture in photos.

I can’t wait to see what their wedding day holds, but for now, these photos are such a beautiful reflection of the love they share. The session was a perfect glimpse into the beautiful adventure that awaits this sweet couple.  Congratulations Hadley and Francis!

Winridge Manor Wedding | Madison Heights, VA | Madison & Michael

Madison and Michael’s Winridge Manor wedding was absolutely stunning!  This venue provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. Winridge has a gorgeous lawn filled with mature trees. It creates an intimate place for a wedding. The manor itself was built in 1910 and it reflects the rich history Virginia has. I have to say, their wedding was truly unforgettable.

The day started with Michael looking dashing in his tailored suit. He looked so ready to marry the love of his life. Madison, glowing in her beautiful lace gown, shared some quiet moments with her bridesmaids before the ceremony. Madison and Michael’s wedding invitations, soft floral designs, and the classic touches of their decor fit nicely together for some flat lay photos. It’s important to me to capture all the little details so you can cherish the memories of everything you’ve planned for your special day. Arranging these elements together to create the perfect photos is always fun! And these photos really encapsulate the essence of the day.

Madison and Michael’s Winridge Manor wedding ceremony was picture-perfect. It was held on the lush green lawn. They were married right in front of a gorgeous white gazebo with a beautiful floral arrangement. It was so beautiful to witness the love shared between this couple. Their vows were heartfelt. And their first kiss as husband and wife was met with applause from family and friends.

Following the ceremony, the couple celebrated with their loved ones during a lovely reception. A sweet touch was added with a cupcake display, adding a fun and personal flair to their celebration.

Madison and Michael’s Winridge Manor wedding was the perfect celebration of their love. Congratulations to the beautiful couple! May you have a long and happy marriage!

Jefferson Forest Senior Photos | Lynchburg Photographer | Savannah

Savannah wanted to have cherry blossoms in her photos so we made sure to plan for the perfect time for her Lynchburg senior session!

If your son or daughter is a senior graduating in 2025, make sure to plan ahead for their senior photos so you can secure your favorite Lynchburg photographer! Lynchburg senior sessions tend to fill up quickly, especially by January, so it’s best to book early. Senior year is a pivotal time in your child’s life, and you’ll want to capture these memories before they head off to college. Senior photos serve many important purposes. Some schools use them for slideshows at rallies or hang them up in the hallways, while others allow them in the yearbook. But the most common use is for graduation announcements! These cards are sent to family and friends to share the exciting news of your child’s graduation, and sometimes include details like their future plans, whether it’s a specific college they’ll be attending or a career path they’re pursuing. It's a wonderful way to celebrate and share this milestone!

Early spring is a great time to schedule senior photos, especially if you want to get them back in time for graduation announcements. While many seniors opt for fall Lynchburg senior sessions, spring offers a beautiful backdrop with fresh blooms and vibrant colors. For example, Savannah’s session was done in early April, which gave us the perfect timing to capture the season and still have enough time to print the photos for family and friends. Keep in mind that cherry blossoms only bloom for a few weeks, so if you want those in your session, it's important to book early to take advantage of that short window! Planning ahead ensures you’ll have everything ready in time for graduation.

Congratulations to Savannah and her family on this exciting milestone. Best wishes to her as she embarks on this new chapter at the University of West Florida!

LCA Senior Photos | Lynchburg Photographer | Sweet Briar | Keirstin

Every year, I do photo sessions at Sweet Briar, which is just a short drive from Lynchburg and always worth the trip! These LCA senior photos of Keirstin turned out absolutely beautiful. I love Sweet Briar for its stunning scenery year-round, but it’s especially breathtaking in the fall. The autumn colors here are simply amazing! One of my favorite spots to shoot is the dock by the lake— the reflection of the trees and sky always creates such a magical effect. There are also plenty of rustic spots perfect for photos, which are super popular in our area right now. You can see some of Keirstin’s photos by a wooden fence and at the head of a trail. We also captured a few shots at a gorgeous colonial-style building, adding even more variety to the session!

I always encourage parents to book early in the school year. You don’t want to miss capturing this special time in your child’s life. Senior photos are a wonderful way to look back on how far they’ve come. LCA senior photos also make perfect graduation announcements in the spring. You can share beautiful photos with family and friends, giving them something to display on the fridge, while your child can announce their future plans—whether it's the college they’ll attend or what comes next after graduation. It’s a moment to celebrate their accomplishments and the exciting journey ahead!

Keirstin is an LCA senior, and I always love doing LCA senior photos—it's honestly one of my favorites! As a parent of three LCA graduates myself, it’s such a special experience to capture these milestone moments.

Congratulations, Keirstin!! Here’s to the class of 2024! I’m excited for each of these amazing students and can’t wait to see all they achieve in the future!
